We Win Some...We Lose Some...

It was a bright and sunny Saturday morning and we're back at the volleyball courts at Hall 2 for Game 2 of our volleyball action. Hall 4 girl's team were up against Hall 9 and after beating Hall 10 in the first game..the girls were definitely upbeat and confident of achieving another victory today.

There were new faces in the team's line-up this morning..but nonetheless all giving their best shot in hopes of qualifying to the next round. However, the opponent proved too strong for our girls to handle. With their serves, spikes and teamwork, our girls had no opportunity of returning back. Many of our girls were first time players, there was also not much training to allow the team to familarise and mentally prepare themselves with the game play and hence, nerves easily got the better of them, resulting in the loss of communication within the game and service errors. After losing the first set, our girls were unable to get back to the game in the second, resulting in a 2-0 defeat by the team from Hall 9.

Despite the loss, our girls embraced and cheered one another on after the game because they knew that that was just a minor setback, they had tried their very best and there is still one more game to go, all is not lost. That's the true sporting spirit. They will work even harder to bring glory to Hall 4. Jiayou!!!
